Hello!! My name is
Charlotte and I am the very proud owner of Handmade by Harrison and am based in
Devon. Handmade by Harrison started as a hobby and is slowly growing into a
business. Eventually I would love to be able to run it full time as my main
source of income.
I've been "crafting" from a very young age. I always loved a rainy day when mum would dig out the "Cutting and Sticking" box. Forever creating little masterpieces with my brother and sisters. I guess that love has carried on throughout life really, as I absolutely LOVE making things - for myself, my family and just about anyone that's interested :)
A couple of years ago I decided to personalise some very basic bracelets for my family at Christmas, I really enjoyed knowing I’d put time and effort into their gifts and I think I re-caught the crafting bug. From there I started making all my own birthday cards. Then, for my birthday, I got a Cricut Explore (AMAZING – and almost a year on I’m still learning its capabilities) and bought myself a Sewing Machine with my birthday money from family. I was determined to learn new skills and spend my free time making things rather than waste it watching TV or just doing nothing.

So far I've mostly been making things for Friends and family but I have had a few sales from new customers. I would really love this to grow and would like to start creating more items for people everywhere to purchase. My family and friends are, happily I think, my guinea pigs for anything I decide to try. A Ribbon comforter for my nephew, then a dribble bib, an infinity scarf for my mum, an apron for a friend’s daughter, dog bandana’s for my auntie (for her dogs of course)… It’s nice to have such lovely supportive family and friends. I have an ever growing list of suggestions from them too of what they’d like me to make them at some point.

Some things I follow patterns for and some things I just make it up as I go along. Every item that I make is done so with love, care and affection. Lines are not always perfectly straight (I’m getting better though) and you will probably never see 2 things exactly the same. I’m only human after all, I’m not a machine. I really do enjoy getting to spend my free time making things for myself, my family, friends and now complete strangers too – customers – new friends.

Most items will be made to order - as I like things to be bespoke and have a touch of your own ideas in. I am happy to discuss any ideas you may have, even if it isn’t something I’ve previously made, I love trying new things. Please message me and we can work together to make your perfect item. I will also be making a range of items, Cards, Ribbon comforters, Dribble Bibs, Aprons, Infinity Scarves...the list is endless, which I will put up for sale as and when I make them.
Handmade by Harrison is currently run around my full time day job (Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4pm). I spend as much time as I can hidden away in my spare room “creating” things though. My heart and soul gets put into this as I truly do hope I can turn it into a successful business.
Feel free to check out my stuff on any of the following social media sites. I love hearing from new followers/likers and making new friends J
Website coming soon J I am currently working with the creative guys over at www.HNCreative.co.uk to build a website for Handmade by Harrison.
